Problem: The specified hardware supplier considered the Torzo decorative panel unstable and would not warranty
the use of their support hardware. The project was 2 weeks behind schedule and without a warrantied solution.
Solution: Spooners Millwork company in San Diego submitted Averve’s Railset as the installation system.
- Pre-assembled frames were delivered to the jobsite
- 260 sf of frame was installed in 90 minutes. Wall prep done!
- Over 5000sf of office walls and corridors were installed without one punch list item.
- Railset’s outside corner created perfect 90-degree corners on columns and soffits throughout the project.

Illumina’s R&D building construction faced several mechanical issues that delayed interior finish installation by four weeks. Further delay ensued when the original Graph Grid Panel System vendor rejected use of the TorZo panel due to panel instability. The architect and
millwork contractor turned to Averve’s Railset Web Panel System with the following results.

- Web sections were assembled off site during the delay. The Web installed at the rate of 3.5 sqft per minute. This made up for the mechanical delay lost time.
- Since panels and the Web were fabricated to size off-site, less experienced carpenters were used to install decorative panels. This enabled the millwork contractor to put more carpenters on the job.
- The unstable TorZo panels were held to alignment by the rigidity of the Web. 7,000 sqft of paneling installed without a single punch list discrepancy.
- The Railset corner hardware ensured all column enclosure site lines stayed square and plumb.
